Rob Eggert doesn’t ask for fairness—he forces it.
For more than 40 years, Eggert has tried the cases where everything is on the line.
This program goes straight at the pressure points (30 minutes each):
- Voir dire that exposes bias instead of pretending it’s not there
- Cross-examination that dismantles—not decorates—testimony
- Recusal strategy when the biggest problem in your case is the person on the bench
Because sometimes the issue isn’t just the evidence.
Sometimes it’s the courtroom itself.

Rob Eggert
Trial Lawyer | Defender | Courtroom Strategist
Rob Eggert doesn’t dabble in criminal defense—he lives in it. For over 40 years, he has stood between the government and the accused in courtrooms across Kentucky, trying serious cases where the stakes are measured in decades—or life.
A former public defender out of Jefferson County, Eggert built his foundation where it matters most: representing people who had everything to lose and nowhere else to turn. That mindset still drives him today.
He is widely known among defense lawyers for what happens when the case actually gets tried. His voir dire cuts through pretense and bias. His cross-examinations expose weakness, overreach, and sometimes outright fiction. He prepares every case like it’s going to verdict—because that’s the only way to be ready.
But Eggert’s advocacy doesn’t stop with witnesses and juries. He is also known for taking on one of the most uncomfortable—but essential—battles in criminal defense: forcing the issue of judicial recusal when fairness is in doubt. Whether it’s bias, appearance of impropriety, or structural unfairness, he does not hesitate to challenge the bench when a client’s right to an impartial tribunal is on the line.
His career has been defined by handling the cases others won’t—homicides, complex conspiracies, and high-pressure prosecutions—and by pushing back when the system leans too far toward conviction over justice.
