Mission
To preserve the adversary system of justice; to maintain and foster independent and able criminal defense lawyers; and to ensure justice and due process of law for those persons accused of crime within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.To promote study and research in the field of criminal defense law and the related arts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
To disseminate by lecture, seminars, forums and publications the advancement of the knowledge of the law as it relates to the field of criminal defense practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
To promote the proper administration of criminal justice throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
To foster, maintain and encourage the integrity, independence and expertise of the defense lawyer in criminal cases throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
To foster periodic meetings of the criminal defense lawyers in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and to provide a forum for the material exchange of information regarding the administration of criminal justice and thereby concern itself with the protection of individual rights and the improvement of criminal law, its practices and procedures, in all the Courts comprising the Kentucky Court of Justice and in all United States Courts in, or having jurisdiction over, the Commonwealth of Kentucky
