Speaker:
Margaret Ringler is NACDL's Full Disclosure Project Coordinator. She is responsible for engaging, preparing, and supporting organizations in setting up databases to track police misconduct, creating public guides and templates, as well as managing the Project’s outreach and building partnerships. She joined NACDL in 2020 after building grassroots organizing power at Community Change, advancing campaigns to end money bail at the Pretrial Justice Institute, and investigating at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Outside of her role at NACDL, Margaret shifts narratives about safety facilitating alternatives to calling the police workshops, joined Showing Up for Racial Justice to mobilize white people into intersectional alliances, and organizes for the equitable redistribution of wealth.
