In this webinar Chris Robinson will cover all the areas of the firearms field beginning with weapons (pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns). He will then discuss bullets and cartridge cases and the comparison process. Robinson will also go over the importance of worksheets and discuss all of the tests the firearms analyst could and should perform. He will also go over ejection patterns, range of fire determination, and trajectory analysis among other things. He will conclude the webinar by discussing some of his more interesting cases that attorneys will find both entertaining and educational.
 

Chris Robinson has been in the forensic field for over 23 1/2 years. He began his career at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and worked there for 10 years as a firearms examiner and gunshot residue analyst. He then became the Director of the Atlanta Police Department Crime Lab and held that position for 2 1/2 years. He now owns his own company Chris Robinson Forensics and has been in that position for 11 years. During his career he has logged over 15,000 hours on the comparison microscope, and has performed over 100,000 forensic examinations. He has been to 8 armorers’ courses, 8 manufacturing plants and has worked over 12,000 actual cases. He is certified in Firearms & Ballistics, Gunshot Residue Analysis, Blood Spatter Analysis, Crime Scene Reconstruction & Wound Analysis.
