What’s Going on With Weed: A Primer on the Brave New Era of Cannabis in Kentucky

What is hemp? What is marijuana? When is it legal? When isn’t it? Brad Clark is a Kentucky lawyer that helps entrepreneurs sell cannabis legally in Kentucky. In this session, Brad will outline the legality of the adult use cannabinoid products that have exploded throughout the Commonwealth and offer a preview into the medical marijuana system scheduled to start in 2025. Brad Clark is the founding attorney of KYCannalaw a law firm devoted to helping Kentuckians legally sell and use cannabis products. For fourteen years he has defended cannabis entrepreneurs in criminal court. Now he helps them stay complaint in the fast-moving world of cannabis law. Brad represents clients in the cannabis industry at every stage: growers, processors, dispensaries, and end users. Brad is a past recipient of the KBA Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, the University of Kentucky College of Law Young Professional award, and a past-president of KACDL. He has served as a death penalty defense lawyer for DPA’s Capital Trial Branch and is a member of the CJA Panel for the Eastern District of Kentucky. In his spare time he makes lofi hip hop beats with his three kids.
